Today the Cocreatrix Team attended the Healing Garden Peer Support Network meeting. The Healing Garden was a full-day event that Little Woo produced for 6 years at the Commercial Drive Festival. It has now expanded its mission to: “The Healing Garden Project is a peer support initiative for the wellness of our village! We wish to explore how our skills and compassion can be available to help those in need within our communities.”
There was an “Needs and Offerings” exercise that Mimi Hall led. This exercise demonstrated that most needs in the room could be fulfilled by others’ offerings. It’s amazing the abundance we truly have when we make it visible!
Cocreatrix attended this initiative because we understand the importance of “supporters” in the community. These people help build resilience in communities and do make a difference in individuals lives. An important realization occured while attending this meeting: Supporters need Supporters.
The Cocreatrix is on it’s way to being a complementary support system for these very important change agents.
Thank you to Zamir Dhanji for allowing us to gather at the Sangha in the City space and the Facilitators Little Woo, Sobey Wing and Mimi Hall for making this event a memorable and educative experience.
